There was a report about a possible worldwide wine shortage that had people commenting on Facebook. And New York State is making plans to benefit from the alleged shortage.
Lots of people don’t agree with this report.
Washington State is having an excellent harvest, as did California. Both Spain and Argentina are flourishing. And there may be a surplus of Italian wines, as wine consumption is down in Italy.
What may be true is an issue of pricing.
I wouldn’t panic about a wine shortage yet.

Y-Chromo & I were the only ones home for supper tonight, so it was simple: steak and salad. Usually he & I are more adventurous, but we’re both busy tonight. I have a backlog of editing to do.
I had an appointment tonight near a Target, so I made a point of stopping in to buy winter boots. I thought I was quite clever, since it’s only October 23. Except the shelves were nearly empty of women’s boots. And someone told me it might actually sn*w later this week.
My good friend, The Cardiff Giant, celebrated his 144th anniversary last week. He was dug up about a quarter of a mile from my childhood home and currently resides in the Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, New York. I think it’s a great story.
